Majestic Lake is one of two beautiful amenity lakes in the Crown Oaks community of Montgomery County. Heavy and prolonged rainfall from Hurricane Harvey over toppled and eroded the Majestic Lake Dam emergency overflow spillway. Vogt Engineering was hired to provide repair recommendations and opinions of cost to help the property owners association in order budget and plan appropriately. 

Vogt Engineering prepared construction documents; provided Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permitting and reporting services; managed bidding; and performed construction administration services. TCEQ required reporting included recalculation of the maximum probable flood with updated rainfall intensities; revised over topple study; and updates to the dam breach analysis. Vogt Engineering also developed a phasing plan as well as runoff management plan in order to ensure the area was protected from rain events during construction.
